As the face ages, one of the areas that is a common concern is the forehead area. When lines develop on the forehead and as volume is lost, the brows can sag and become furrowed. This look can be corrected with non-surgical treatments such as Botox and laser treatments.
How does a Botox brow lift work?
A Botox brow lift will remove forehead lines, raise sagging eyebrows and reduce the appearance of upper eyelid hooding. A small amount of Botox needs to be injected above the lateral aspect of the eyebrows to lift droopy brows and provide a lift. By skillfully injecting small amounts of “baby Botox” into key areas of the glabella and forehead areas, the forehead will be raised and you will look more relaxed with a more youthful appearance.
Non-surgical brow lifts are preferred over surgical brow lifts for some patients as surgery involves some risk, scarring, and a longer recovery time. Dr. Prasad provides a subtle yet elegant enhancement of the non-surgical brow lift using botulinum toxin, or Botox.
How long will it last?
During your non-surgical brow lift, we may recommend that you get some Botox injections around your eyes and across the rest of your forehead as well. Depending on your metabolism, Botox typically lasts around 3-6 months on average.
Does it hurt?
When we perform Botox injections, our goal is to make it as painless as possible. While some patients experience a little bit of discomfort when getting a Botox treatment, other patients say that they hardly feel anything. The great thing about Botox injections is that even if they are a little uncomfortable, they will be over in just a few minutes. Getting similar results of a surgical brow lift without going under the knife may sound like a dream come true, but with Botox, we can turn those dreams into a reality.
